Our client, a leading international player in the financial sector with modern offices in the Basel area, is looking for a customer-oriented IT Sourcing Specialist 70-80% (a), in a temporary assignment for 12 months to start in September.<

The successful candidate will work as part of Sourcing and Contracting team and lead low value tenders and to support and advise business owners on all matters concerning the procurement of IT goods and services. The main responsibilities are as follows:
Provides procurement expertise to business owners
Advises business owners in sourcing options and strategies in accordance with the requirements of the Procurement Policy and Procedures.
Performs high value tenders and to assists business areas in low value tenders of indirect procurement (esp. IT, software and hardware, potentially also facility management and general services) and assisting business areas in low value tenders and other sourcing activities and thereby:
Ensuring fair and transparent decisions
Drafting contracts, liaises with Legal Services and other required departments
Negotiating with suppliers
International player in the financial sector
12 months contract with extension option
In order to be considered for this role, the ideal candidate must have:
University degree or equivalent training e.g. MA/BA in Procurement or CIPS-certification
3+ years' relevant working experience in Procurement (specifically Sourcing - executing low tenders in Indirect Procurement or strong willingness to learn leading tenders)
Sourcing Skills
Proven contract drafting skills
Ideally proven tendering skills as lead sourcer (low value tenders)
Good understanding of Purchase to Pay processes
Negotiation skills
Extensive experience with analytical tools
Business fluency in English; German skills are a plus
