Mission
The Compliance Officer is in charge of contributing to the quality of services provided by the Regulatory Compliance Department responsible for the management of regulatory compliance risks by identifying, analyzing and escalating the risks of non-compliance, advising and training the first lines of defense. The role is aiming at assisting and supporting the first line of defense so that the company complies with applicable regulations and HSBC standards. 
Principal accountabilities
 ·         Closely work with the business and the management and in particular advise and assist them with the aim of managing the risks of non-compliance with HSBC standards and applicable regulations ·         Identify, analyze and escalate regulatory or HSBC Group standards issues/breaches and, propose practical solutions·         Perform controls provided in the annual Regulatory Compliance (RC) plan in conformity with HSBC standards and applicable regulations, and provide the required reports ·         Contribute to the RC trainings delivered to the first line of defense·         Contribute to the drafting and the annual update of internal procedures/process and make sure they apply the latest applicable regulations and HSBC standards·         Participate to the regulatory watch, provide adequate analysis to the business and assist them for their implementation·         Participate and contribute to internal meetings and meetings of professional association·         Contribute to the Risk and Control Assessment for RC risks and the role of RC as risk steward·         Contribute to HSBC group reportings and reportings to regulators·         Participate to answers to regulators·         Be the contact point for specific RC related matters for the business and functional lines·         Spread and foster local RC culture and awareness·         Comply with HSBC Group standards and regulations applicable to RC related matters

CompetencesKnowledge:-         French and English -         Knowledge and experience of asset management business and European regulations -         Post-graduated in law or risk management-         Computer literateSkills :-        Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously-        Pro-active to identify, escalate and propose solutions to solve issues in a pragmatic way-        Ability to work with tight deadlines-        To be able to solve conflicts which could arise, firmly but diplomatically-        Excellent communication
