ASAP: Finance Process Specialist US Tariff - SAP - 100%

We're supporting a global pharmaceutical company in finding a Finance Process Specialist focused on US tariff reporting and compliance. This role is ideal for finance professionals with solid experience in reporting, accounting, and cross-functional collaboration.
Collect, validate and deliver financial data in line with US tariff requirements for internal and external reporting (e.g., national statistics and tax reporting)
Support monthly closing and general ledger activities
Serve as a subject matter expert on relevant accounting policies and process standards
Ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal controls and global accounting manuals (NAM/NFCM)
Drive documentation and improvement of financial processes (e.g., SOPs, controls)
Liaise with internal stakeholders, auditors, and external authorities when required
Contribute to system improvements and ensure proper process integration with other platforms
Continuously identify and drive efficiency improvements across the function
6 months temporary contract in Basel (possibility of extension)
+3 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit
University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
+3 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit
Solid knowledge of general ledger and close processes
Experience with SAP and comfort working in a complex system landscape
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Fluency in English; German is an advantage
